Money

Croatia remains a good value travel destination with prices for accommodation and services that remain attractive. Prices in stores however are more expensive than in most EU countries. Croatia’s currency is the kuna, which is divided into 100 lipa. For students it is possible to get reductions with an ISIC international student card. The best places to change money are banks (weekdays mostly open 8am to 5 pm and Saturday 8 am to 11 am) or at exchange bureaus. Credit cards are accepted in most hotels and more expensive shops.
