Klimno

Klimno is a town on the southern coast of the Bay Soline (Klimno) on the island of Krk. The small harbour is protected from wind. The marina of Klimno has 50 landing stages. On the small pier smaller vessels can be set. Larger vessels may anchor before the port of 2-3 m depth.

History of Klimno

In single Roman chapel of the holy Clemens with semicircular Apsis and flat ceiling, in sources for the first time was mentioned, in 1381. A carved Renaissance wing altar from that 16. Ct. IS KEPT. he Romanesque church of St.. Philip and Jacob in the nearby city Soline 1396 has already been mentioned IN 1396. The ruin of the Peter church in Soline exhibits elements from the old-Christian to the gothical building phase. It is interesting a farmhouse to a Glagolitic inscription that dates from the year 1514.
