SPLIT Panoramablick vom Marjan IMG 4494-6.JPG

Split, the second city of Croatia is the center on Dalmatian coast, along with the picturesque Dubrovnik and it has a lot to offer for tourists of all sorts. Once was an important city under Diocletian, and then was under different rules and today become a somewhat urban mixture, with all different times reflecting in its architecture.
The city of Split is situated in the warmest area of the northern Mediterranean coast, right in the middle of the Adriatic coast, near the rivers Jadro and Zrnovnica which already 1700 years charge this area with water.

The mild climate with 2700 hours of sunshine annually, Split transforms in the middle of winter in the oasis in which you can enjoy the sun. The industrial and economic center of the region its “green soul” keeps in the famous hill Marjan that is situated on the west side of the peninsula, where forest park near the city provides the comfort and peace from city noise on the promenade under the pine trees along the coast.

Its residents have right to say that Split is “the most beautiful town in the world and the surrounding area” and you can not controvert that, because you can feel the spirit of the past in Split. This city with about 200 thousand inhabitants has a warm Mediterranean temper, and lives its urban rhythm, with its heart in Palace of Diocletian.
