Dramalj (1300 inhabitants) is an attractive suburb of Crikvenica, with its many new villas attracts the tourists from all over the world. In particular, the peninsula of Kacjak Dramalj is a popular seaside resort for tourists and for all those who go on a vacation in Dramalj and Crikvenica. In Dramalj also begins a popular 7 km long Lungomare, a beach promenade, for the walkers, skaters and cyclists.

How to get to Dramalj

Dramalj is right next to the city Crikvenica. You can reach it over the coastal road from Rijeka E66 towards Senj. The town is mostly marked.

History of Dramalj

Dramalj was an important fishermen port in the past. It was first mentioned in the 18th century, when it was named Zagorje – Dramalj.
Dramalj has a lot of findings and ruins which present a valuable traces about existence of the Liburnian like hill fort enclosed with a dry-stone Dyke and findings of amphorae around the Kacjak peninsula which are witness of Romans existence.
During the centuries it was s home of many governments which all left their indelible trace in many architecture buildings, churches, monuments and in the way of life.

Today, Dramalj is an attractive touristic resort which is gaining more and more tourists each year.
