Places of excursions in the region of Cres

If you explored the island of Cres, you can visit the nearby islands: The Krk Island and the Losinj Island, on which you’ll find something for everyone. Rent a boat and navigate along the beautiful coast of the island and experience this region in a special way. Walk trough this beautiful island and get to know some places such as:

  • Valun-suitable for hikes, mountain bike tour or SUV vehicles

The starting point is the marina of Cres, because you can either pass trough the marina and then passing on a gravel or above the marina, a steep gravel down and then you’ll come to this path. After several km on the asphalt road, we should not jump to Valun down, but a little bit further (in the direction of Lubenice) and then turn right and since then go on a small side path at a small church to Valun.

From Valun you can then continue in the direction Zbicina or Pernat, as should be left in the eighth entry, because somewhere must be the old way for Lubenice (until 1960 before the asphalt road was built, the main link to Valun and was broad enough to deal with an ox-cart to drive it)
