Brela
Brela is located 15 kilometers north-west of Makarska near Split. The village is situated on the coast between the mountains and the Brac Island. It is divided into two parts: the upper Brela – near the old part of the road on a hill, and Lower Brela – placed along the coast.
Because of its dense pine forests, long pebbly beaches and water sources, Brela plays for decades an important role in tourism of the Makarska Riviera. Since 1999, IT received the “Blue Flag” for its beaches.
